Search times
The Course Designer will determine the times allowed for each search at each trial and they will be dependent on the complexity of the search area level of the trial.
White Dog
-
A white dog will be run before any competing teams. The white dog will be decided on before trial date and may belong to organiser, search designer or a judge. The dog will have competed successfully at a level higher than the level it is being used as a white dog for.
-
If the white dog is unsuccessful, the search designer can change the hide placement, hide vessel and the search area parameters.
-
If no white dog is available and the first competitor is unsuccessful in every search, the search designer can make changes and the first dog may run again at the end.
